Alabama Music Hall of Fame Education Programs

Education Initiatives
The Alabama Music Hall of Fame preserves and promotes the state's rich musical heritage through exhibition, education, performance and fun. The museum fosters an appreciation for Alabama music and stimulates the minds of our youth through a variety of dynamic initiatives.
The Alabama Music Hall of Fame is working closely with faculty at the University of North Alabama and Northwest Shoals Community College to develop curriculum tailored for both fourth and ninth grade classes to be used during Alabama History units. These lesson plans will be downloadable from our website at no cost to instructors and are designed to exceed state education standards.
Through our new partnership with Northwest Shoals Community College, we are developing numerous education programs for students of all ages. Summer music camps, music industry seminars, artist-in-residence events and guest artist series are just a few of our new education initiatives that ensure young Alabamians continue to learn about the great musicians from our state. The Alabama Music Hall of Fame will also conduct hands-on research projects for students wanting to pursue careers in the music industry. Our newly developed internship program offers students to receive academic credit while gaining in-depth knowledge of business operations and the music industry.
We are very excited to share these new initiatives with Alabama’s bright young students.
